Junior High Boys Basketball Coach
Glenville-Emmons Schools has an opening for a junior high boys basketball coach. The work schedule will vary each week with practices, home games, and road games in the afternoon/evening on weekdays. Some Saturday coaching is also involved. This position is supervised by the Head Coach and Activities Director.
-Serve as a positive role model for players and parents
-Teach skills through effectively planned practices at a level appropriate for members of the team
-Condition athletes appropriately for activities requiring endurance, strength, and agility
-Responsible for all aspects of directing the team's practice and play in games
-Teach sportsmanship, cooperation, work ethic, and responsibility to one's team
-Monitor player's personal conduct during games
-Other duties as required
Ability to work with children of this age; basic knowledge of basketball; willingness to learn and follow district rules and guidelines; prior coaching experience is helpful but not required
