What does a school social worker do?
Is a link between home, school, and community.
Helps students who are having difficulties in school, with friends, and at home.
Advocates for students.
Helps students learn problem-solving skills and decision making skills.
Helps build students self-esteem.
Develops and implements plans to enhance students school success.
Provides individual and group services.
Provides information and referrals.
Works with students in general education and special education.

others if someone
says she/he is thinking about harming herself/himself, hurting
someone else, or is being hurt
by someone else.
